What is it? It’s a French skincare range by Christine Benet, an industry expert with a passion for aromatherapy. Christine is from the Benet family who are behind the established ranges of Decleor and Darphin.
What’s the USP? Christine has used the ancient principles of phytotherapy and aromacology along with natural Meditteranean plant extracts, vegetable and essential oils. Key actives such as orange, apricot, hazelnut, olive and lavender help to purify, detox and balance the skin while the aromatic scents energise. There are five collections with the DELAROM range, each focusing on specific problems and/or times of life when skin needs differ.
Hero product? Delarom’s Tinted Face Cream (£30, urbanretreat.co.uk), a tinted moisturiser that is also a multi-action skin care product. Hyaluronic acid and pro-vitamin B5 are combined with super anti-agers argan fruit and vitamin E and of course, mineral filters to protect the skin from UV rays.
Why the name? The name needed to have seven letters and begin with the letter 'D', as with Darphin and Decleor, and reflect the essential oils and aromatherapy used in the products. "De l'arome" seemed to work and from that DELAROM was born.
How new is it? It launched in the UK in November 2013
