What is it? It's an Australian natural skincare company that develops products for sensitive skin, which work for babies as well as for adults.
What’s the USP? Pure and natural enough to eat, says the company -if you're so inclined - but also so effective that they're being recommended by doctors.
Hero product? The Skin Milk Udder Cream (£8, moogooskincare.co.uk) started it all and was first made when MooGoo’s founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem. Originally used to heal cow’s udders and keep them in good condition, it was full of skin repair ingredients. The modified version for human use was so effective that the word spread quickly and MooGoo was born. It is now being recommended by a number of oncologists and hospitals in Australia due to its efficacy in helping the recovery from chemo and radiotherapy induced dermatitis. A clinical trial initiated by the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital making a comparison between the use of sorbolene and MooGoo Skin Milk Udder Cream is currently underway.
Why the name? It's a reference to the original cream ‘goo’ that was put on the cow’s (moo) udders.
How new is it? It launched this year in the UK.
I’d say... give it a whirl. If you have sensitive skin you'll know how hard it is to find something tolerable and this feels and smells good.
